The late Mr. Maligwa was a visionary leader who invested his energy into the development of City of Mutare.

His contribution to the Mutare people and its periphery will never be forgotten. The passing on of Mr. Maligwa dealt us a huge blow, given the momentum that the city had so far attained in turning around the state of service delivery. He also devoted his time and effort in making a difference at Civic Centre.

City of Mutare and its residents shall forever cherish the good working relationship and the professional approach and dedication to duty. Mutare and Manicaland at large has lost an eminent local government practitioner of repute whose impact was felt beyond the borders. Indeed the mountain fell and darkness covered us all in the City.

Mr. Maligwa played his part, the onus is now on us all to play our part in furthering the development of the City of Mutare

Indeed we shall  sadly miss him.
