Christmas Pass- Dangamvura Reservoirs water project is progressing well

Exhumation of previously laid 450mm Asbestos Cement (AC) water pipes from Golden Peacock to Roman Catholic University is currently on-going. The casting of concrete piers for pipe bridges has resumed.

In addition City of Mutare has received a 100HP tractor, backhoe attachment, plough ridger from the Zimfund project for the execution of these and other works.

Training of operators and mechanics has been done. Of course, the full consignment of GRP water pipes that were procured in South Africa by the Zimfund project is already at our site office.

Council is making frantic efforts to mobilize additional resources to the tune of $450 000 00 to execute the works to completion.
